This Federal Aviation Administration preliminary operations report, released in 2023, records UAP activity on February 28, 2023 near St. Petersburg-Clearwater, Florida. Miami ARTCC advised that Alaska 421, a Boeing 737-800 flying from Tampa to San Francisco, reported two UAP off its right side about 6,000 feet above the aircraft while westbound at 8,400 feet, 9 miles southwest of St. Petersburg-Clearwater. No evasive action was reported and law enforcement was not notified.
