This Federal Aviation Administration record, part of the Department of Transportation's 2023 releases, is a preliminary FAA operations report from February 20, 2023, near Kenai, Alaska. It says Anchorage Air Route Traffic Control Center relayed a report from Ravn Alaska flight 140, a De Havilland DH8A flying from Anchorage to Kenai. The crew was southwest bound at 6,000 feet and saw a round black object that stayed stationary at about 16,000 feet. No evasive action was taken, and the Alaska NORAD Region was notified.
