This is a Federal Aviation Administration preliminary report, released in 2023, on an event dated December 14, 2022. American Airlines flight 276, an A321 flying east from San Francisco to New York JFK at FL350, reported an aerial phenomenon, called a UFO, at its 12 o'clock position about 45 miles east of St. Joseph, Missouri. The report records that the crew took no evasive action and that the UFO Reporting Center was notified.
