This Federal Aviation Administration record, released in 2023, is a preliminary FAA operations report on an event of February 8, 2019. Salt Lake ARTCC said the pilot of United 1104, a B737 flying from Anchorage to Denver, reported a UFO with red, green and white lights hovering between FL370 and FL390, 10 miles southeast of the Coppertown VOR near Butte, Montana. The crew took no evasive action, and radar showed no other targets in the area.
