This Federal Aviation Administration Skywatch incident report, released in 2023 by the Department of Transportation, logs an unidentified aerial phenomenon reported at 01:40 on 10/03/2024. A commercial CRJ7 flying as JIA5656 from DCA to MKE was northwest bound at FL380 over CAK airport when the crew saw a bright white light orbiting at about FL600 before it disappeared. The object was not observed on ATC facility radar, and the report is marked closed.
