This is a Federal Aviation Administration Skywatch incident report dated 8 December 2023, filed by the Memphis facility (ZME). It covers Southwest Airlines flight SWA498, a Boeing 737 flying from Atlanta to Dallas. While westbound at FL400, 35 nautical miles northwest of MEI, the crew reported lights moving back and forth at high speed at about FL600. According to the report, ATC radar did not detect the phenomenon, and the case is marked closed.
