This Federal Aviation Administration Skywatch incident report, filed by the Great Falls (GTF) facility, records an unidentified aerial phenomenon seen on 2 December 2023. The control tower reported five or more lights to the northeast at about FL400 and above. The lights moved in a circular pattern resembling a holding pattern, changed intensity and appeared to be at different altitudes. Radar did not detect the phenomenon, the HAYS MOA was not active, and Malmstrom AFB security confirmed seeing the lights. The report is marked closed.
