This is a Federal Aviation Administration Skywatch incident report dated October 28, 2023, and its status is closed. According to the report, American Airlines flight AAL2928, an A319 flying from Monterrey to JFK, saw an unidentified aerial phenomenon while heading east at FL350, 20 NM north of Lynchburg. The phenomenon was a single, mostly stationary object at very high altitude carrying three bright white lights. FedEx flight FDX1402 reported the same object, and both crews had watched the lights for 300 miles.
