This is a Federal Aviation Administration Skywatch incident report, released in 2023, that records an unidentified aerial phenomenon reported on July 21, 2023. Delta flight DAL2054, a Boeing 737-800 flying from San Francisco to Los Angeles, was southbound at 14,200 feet about 20 nautical miles southwest of LAX. The crew described multiple stationary lights that appeared to be synchronized. No evasive action was taken, a NORAD systems check came back negative, and the report is closed.
