This Federal Aviation Administration record, released by the Department of Transportation in 2023, logs an unidentified aerial phenomenon report dated February 6, 2023, from Anchorage Center (ZAN). Alaska NORAD reported an object 115 nautical miles north of OTZ that was possibly an unverified balloon heading northeast at 27 knots near FL300, and no aircraft were nearby to verify it. At closeout the report was found to be erroneous, uncorrelated radar data that had not come from an aircraft.
