This is a 2023 Federal Aviation Administration record, a closed unidentified aerial phenomenon report numbered 237UAP00191. It says that on 3 February 2023 at 14:34, United Airlines flight UAL597, a Boeing 737 MAX flying from Newark to Las Vegas, reported a large balloon off its right side. The crew was westbound at FL340, 30 NM west of RBA, and put the balloon at about FL500 or higher. Kansas City Center was the reporting facility. The record lists no further action.
