This Federal Aviation Administration record, logged under the Department of Transportation as 237UAP00188, documents an unidentified aerial phenomenon report from 3 February 2023. American Airlines flight AAL2574, a Boeing 737-800 flying from St. Louis to Phoenix, reported a large balloon off its right side. The aircraft was westbound at FL360, 30 nautical miles west of RBA, and the balloon appeared to be at about FL500 or higher. Denver Center filed the report, and its status is closed.
