This Federal Aviation Administration Skywatch incident report, released by the Department of Transportation in 2023, covers an unidentified aerial phenomenon reported on February 3, 2023. The crew of FFT566, an A320 airliner flying from Denver to Kansas City, reported a large balloon off the left side while heading southeast at 13,000 feet. They estimated that the balloon was at about FL500 or higher. The report is marked closed and does not identify the object.
