This is a Federal Aviation Administration Skywatch incident report from the Department of Transportation, released in 2023. It records that on December 17, 2022, American Airlines flight AAL661, an A321 flying from Las Vegas to Philadelphia, reported an unidentified aerial phenomenon while eastbound at FL370, 95 nautical miles east of MCI. The crew described red, green and white lights fading in and out high above. The report notes they were possibly satellites, and the case is marked closed.
