This is a Federal Aviation Administration Skywatch incident report, released by the Department of Transportation in 2023. It records an unidentified aerial phenomenon reported at 02:57 on October 24, 2022 by Southwest Airlines flight SWA1884, a Boeing 737-800 flying from Baltimore to Las Vegas. The crew saw three bright lights in a triangle west of Chicago, Illinois, moving erratically in all directions and growing dimmer and brighter. Two other Southwest flights, SWA1976 and SWA2316, reported the same thing. The report is marked closed.
