This 2023 Federal Aviation Administration release reproduces a closed Skywatch incident report dated August 8, 2022. The crew of an A320, callsign LRC662, was flying north from MROC to IAD at FL 370 over ILM. They reported 5 to 6 lights making 360s at very high altitude over RDU, off the aircraft's left side. Another pilot, FFT1242, also saw the lights and believed they were Starlink satellites. FAA headquarters notified the UFO Reporting Center.
