This Federal Aviation Administration Skywatch Incident Report, released in 2023, records an unidentified aerial phenomenon reported on 6 August 2021 by the crew of commercial Boeing 747 flight ABD765, flying from RFD to EDDF. The aircraft was heading east-northeast at FL330 near the PMM VOR. The crew saw an object with star-shaped lighting ahead of them that rapidly changed altitude and then hovered. No evasive action was reported, and Chicago Center (ZAU) planned to call the UFO reporting hotline. The report is closed.
