This Federal Aviation Administration Skywatch incident report, dated March 2, 2018 and marked closed, records an unmanned aircraft event near Houston. Houston approach control (I90) observed a radar target climb from 1,000 to 10,100 feet and hover over the approach end of runway 31L. Radar replay tagged it briefly as UFO before it descended and dropped from the display. Houston tower visually saw a large white UAS. No aircraft saw it, and air traffic control was not affected.

Target descends and drops from AADS at 2204. No ACFT observed the UAS, however HOU ATCT visually observed a 'large white UAS until they lost sight of it to the ESE. HOU PD notified at 713-884-3131.
