This is a Federal Aviation Administration Skywatch incident report dated December 11, 2007, filed through the NCRCC with Salt Lake Center (ZLC) listed as the reporting facility. The pilot of a Beech Super King Air 350, N933CL, flying from Reno to Colorado Springs, reported a UFO 30 miles southeast of Ely. The pilot described a bright light that moved rapidly, stopped, and then moved rapidly again. A crew on American Airlines flight AAL197 later reported the same bright light and said it was probably a planet. The report is closed.

At 0533Z ZLC reports that an AAL197, B752, BOS-SFO, 60 SW ELY now in the same position as N933CL reports a bright lights but states it is probably a planet that sits low on the horizon.
