This Federal Aviation Administration record, released in 2023 as file 237UAP00003, logs a pilot report from 31 August 2007. It was filed by the Indianapolis center (ZID), and its status is closed. The pilot of RUF442, a Mitsubishi MU2 flying from BKL with Cincinnati (CVG) as the new destination, was at 13,000 feet about 45 nautical miles south-southwest of the Dryer VOR. The pilot said a bright white light above the aircraft was not moving but was following the flight. The information was forwarded to the National UFO Center.
