This is a 1978 investigation report by GEPAN, the unidentified aerial phenomena study group of France's CNES, about the 29 August 1967 sighting at Cussac, Cantal. It was published in 2005 by the Démocratie soucoupique site with CNES approval. Investigators questioned two child witnesses, a gendarme, and neighbours, and ran theodolite reconstructions and odour tests. The report finds the accounts coherent and rejects the helicopter explanation. It concludes that the witnesses saw the hurried departure of an unknown crewed vehicle.

De façon subjective, Mlle D évalue le diamètre de la boule à 1,5 m /2 m et la distance d'observation à 55 m. Elle confirme qu'il faisait beau temps. La taille des personnages d'après ses indications peut être évaluée à 1,20 m.
