This is an FBI Freedom of Information/Privacy Acts release to John Greenewald Jr. of The Black Vault, dated March 29, 2023, covering United Nuclear Scientific Supplies. It was the first interim release: of 517 pages reviewed, 119 were released. The records come from the FBI Albuquerque JTTF and describe a 2006 case. An unidentified caller asked the company for chemicals that could serve as Sarin precursors, then turned up in person at the business. The file also contains grand jury subpoenas and interview notes.

Details: For information of the Bureau, on Monday, 07/17/2006, an unidentified caller contacted United Nuclear Scientific Supplies (UNSS), P.O. Box 851, Sandia Park, NM, telephohically at felephone 505-286-2831approximately 3 times between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p. m. I informed Albuquerque FBI ^A~ |that an unidentified male speaking English with call blocking on his telephone number, inquired about seven specific chemicals. When these chemicals are used together they could be precursor chemicals for making Sarin (GB) nerve agent/gas. / The chemicals were: Triethl Phosphite, Triisopropyl / Phosphite, Sodium Fluoride, Aluminum Chloride, Methyl / Chloride/Dichloride, Isopropyl Alcohol, and Phosgene gas. / —■ The caller wanted a few pounds each of the above listed chemicals. The caller did not leave his name or a telephone number. The suspicious nature of the calls which included the chemicals inquired about and the lack of contact information from the caller raised the level of concern for ______ UNSS does not maintain any of the above listed chemicals at its business. However, tried to lead the caller on by informing that UNSS
