PAUL PIONEER PRESS 18 January 1979 ## CIA, Air Force cover-up of UFOs claimed The U.S. Central Intelligence Agency and the Air Force conspired to cover up the surveillance of military bases by unidentified flying objects, a man who has studied UFOs contends. William Spaulding, director of Ground Saucer Watch in Phoenix, Ariz., says he can back the charge with 1,000 pages of documents obtained last month from the CIA through a Freedom of Information Act suit. Further documents, confiscated film and residue from UFO landings have been requested in a pending portion of the federal suit, he said. "We have information to categorically prove the government is lying and that significant findings have been suppressed," said Spaulding, an engineer for AiResearch, a Phoenix manufacturer of aerospace components. "We have five ex-intelligence officers who will testify to this cover-up," he added.
