This is a US Defense Attache intelligence report from Wellington, New Zealand, approved by Colonel Lewis H. Walker, USAF, covering January to February 1968. It is filed under the CIA and dated 2002. It records information volunteered by National Airways Corporation pilot Captain B. L. Cathie, including his forthcoming book "Harmonic 33" and his claim that Auckland air traffic control radar tracked four fast objects on 14 January 1968. The attache describes Cathie as sincere and above average in mathematics, and notes that he is trying to prove an alien master plan.

SUMMARY (CONFIDENTIAL) (C) Report provides additional information voluntarily given by source which adds to referenced report (IR 1 869 0015 67). The source stated that his book "Harmonic 33" is now at the printers in England, that he has been in contact with UFO investigation organizations in the United States, and that many additional UFO sightings have been made in New Zealand but not reported. 10. RECENT EVENTS: Captain Cathie is still employed as an aircraft (F-27 Friendship) pilot by National Airways Corporation (NAC). His superior know of his interest and activity in UFO's and his forthcoming book "Harmonic 33". He has been checked for security reasons and no adverse reports are known. He has received considerable publicity in newspapers and on television. He admits that many people consider him "some kind of a nut" but he persists in his theory. On 16 January 1968 he came to my office and reported that four UFO's had been detected on the Auckland Air Traffic Control radar scope on 14 January 1968 at 2335 hours local time (141135Z). Three objects were 15 miles apart in line, with the fourth object in line 30 miles behind the third. Relative speed was extremely high. In addition, 11.
