It lists upcoming meetings and the automatic declassification deadlines under Executive Order 12958. It also covers the review of 67,000 pages of National Security Council records and a 1953 memo on the value of open Soviet literature. In addition, it summarizes FOIA requests, including one from a requester with past interest in UFO information who asked about Glenn Miller's 1944 disappearance.

National Security Archive Requests Copy of Peacekeeping Study (U//1'el'H6§ The National Security Archive requested a copy of "an unclassified CIA study written by Frederick F leitz titled Comparison of Peacekeeping Operations by Success and Limiting Factors , dated 29 July 1992." (Uh'A'I'H6) Scholar Seeks Information on Proposed 1970s US - Cuba Baseball Game (U//All-U-9§ A local requester who claims to be doing scholarly research seeks infonnation "on efforts to persuade the United States Govemment to permit a team of Major League Baseball players to play a game in Cuba between 1974 and l976.“ The requester notes that “Senator George McGovem raised the issue with Fidel Castro in a May 1975 visit to Havana," however, "Secretary of State Henry Kissinger rejected the idea in early l976." 0 Because the request contained only references to Department of State ersonnel with no indication of CIA involvement. the F OIA case ofiicer will refer the requester to State.
