He asked several difficult questions, one of which would be impossible to answer: "How many UFOs have not been explained and what were they?" 0 The FOIA case manager explained that the FOIA "does not authorize or require federal agencies to answer questions on behalf of requesters. ” However, the case manager explained that a collection of 2,748 pages ofpreviously-released UFO material is available at the CIA’s reading room or can be ' purchased for $264. 80, and that 991 pages of the collection is available at CIA 's Internet site free of charge.
