This declassified Central Intelligence Agency document is the official diary of the Acting Deputy Director for Intelligence for Tuesday, 16 December 1952. It records the day's meetings, including preparations for briefings in New York and at the White House, a draft of remarks for the JCS, and an NSC senior staff meeting on proceedings against international oil companies. One entry asks for a report on a flying saucer investigation for a White House talk. It notes the investigator was less alarmed because one of the hardest sightings to disprove had turned out to be Jupiter.

Offered DCI draft, prepared by\ of remarks beforethe JCS. He just glanced at it and said, "Haven't I seen this before?" to whichI replied, "No, sir." He said, "What the hell, you're going to do the talking any-way." Then, returned them to me, saying all he was going to do was sit back a(b)(3)say "That's my boy!" (b)(6) 34. Conferred with Sheldon and 3 on the New York and White House brief-ings. Apparently, through the good offices of Max Babb the briefing room is all set and a similar one will be arranged in the White House. As of now, Eisenho(b)(3) wants no daily material so Q is coming back and will return with us on Fr(b)(§)Briefing is now scheduled for 1 O0 Friday. S.
