This Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) monitoring message, dated 20 April 1991, corrects an earlier transcript of a Soviet television interview with the Air Defense Forces chief, Army General Tretyak. It restores passages covering a readiness briefing by duty officer Colonel Denisov, including one radar station out of action. Asked about flying saucers over Moscow, Tretyak says UFO questions involve many myths and tall stories. He adds that one event near Moscow was tracked by radar and turned out not to be a UFO.
