It lists Xinhua English wire items from 6 and 7 December 1993, each with a headline and lead sentence, covering world politics, economics, sports and Chinese domestic news. One Beijing item, headlined "ufos galore across taiwan straits", reports that experts from mainland China and Taiwan said nearly 6,000 UFO sightings had been reported across the Taiwan Straits and that some defied rational explanation.
