This Central Intelligence Agency record, dated 1 October 1992, is a translated transcript of a live Moscow Central Television "Utro" interview with Major General Yuriy Gusev, deputy commander of the Russian Ministry of Defense Space Units. Gusev describes the space units' role, the ratio of civilian to military launches, satellite counts, possible manned launches from Plesetsk, and the 35th anniversary of the first satellite. Asked about UFOs, he says he doubts humanoid craft but once saw an unexplained moving ray of light during a flight.
