This Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) record, dated 5 November 1990, is an unclassified commentary list covering Soviet radio broadcasts in Mandarin and Japanese. It gives 24 items with short descriptions and running times. Topics include Primakov's Persian Gulf talks, Baker's Mideast visit, unrest in Moldavia, the RSFSR 500-day economic plan and Japanese journalist Toyohiro Akiyama's training for the Mir space station. One 8.5-minute item covers the Soviet magazine "UFO and Us."
