This Central Intelligence Agency release, dated 18 November 1991, is an unclassified foreign broadcast transcript, the third of three parts, covering a 15 November news conference by Soviet economist Abalkin. He answers journalists' questions on public expectations, possible US economic help for perestroyka, and opposition from conservatives to reforms of state property and prices. The only UFO reference is his remark that in difficult times like these, reports of UFOs start circulating.
