This Central Intelligence Agency compilation, distributed 29 October 1956, gathers unevaluated foreign press reports of unidentified flying objects published between 31 July and 20 September 1954. It covers sightings in Austria, Finland, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Turkey, Uganda and Singapore. Items include a landing-type report near Acheux-en-Amienois, a disk over Hirson, and an object tracked by the Ciampino tower and Pratica di Mare radar near Rome. French air police are quoted as saying two alleged landings may have been smuggling planes.

FAR EAST STRANGE LIGHT SEEN OVER AIRFIELD -- Caloutta, Jugantar, 6 Sep 54 ## Singapore A mysterious light traveling at high speed was observed over Singapore on the night of 4 September. Several persons reported this sighting to the British aviation authorities at Xaiar [sic; Kallang?] Airfield. A British official said that at least six persons reported seeing the light.
