These are the Central Intelligence Agency minutes of a Branch Chief's meeting held on 11 August 1952. The chairman, Mr. Sullivan, announced that the P&E Division would start a project on "Flying Saucers". Its purpose would be to keep a file, set up outside contacts and build current knowledge so the Division could form an opinion when asked. Branch representatives and a Project Officer were named. The Project Officer was to get reports from ATIC, which keeps worldwide records and answers requests.

A-2, may be able to contribute something to this problem, Mr. Sullivan gave a summary of the 5 years that Mr. Strong spent there was no specific problem to be discussed. The meeting was adjourned. Distribution: * where so many " flying saucers " have been reported of late . Although Mr. Strong now many species there and travelled the area extensively , no unusual phenomena were ever mentioned or seen .
