This Central Intelligence Agency interview record, dated 20 October 1955, recounts a sighting by a traveler whose name is redacted. While riding a train after dark with three companions, he saw two round greenish yellow lights climb steeply and rapidly without noise, smoke or trail. His companions said they saw lights and details on the objects and that the objects passed over the train. The memo notes a nearby searchlight that did not track them and is signed off through Herbert Scoville, Assistant Director, Scientific Intelligence.

stated that after he was back in his compartment, lying down, the porter pulled down the shades. This was at least 10 minutes later and was not unusual. He stated that he preferred to ride the train, taking it whenever possible. There was nothing unusual about him using the train on this trip. He did not feel threatened were trying to conceal anything from him in this region. He did not see anything to indicate the presence of a big airforce base in this region. Elsewhere, he passed several airbases and no attempt was made to conceal them from him. has never seen a jet airplane take off at right.
