This is a CIA letter dated 17 April 1958, sent from the Office of the Director of Central Intelligence to Major Donald Keyhoe, Director of NICAP in Washington. It answers a letter from Keyhoe. The Agency says it checked its records and found nothing showing that any CIA employee ever told a witness to an unidentified flying object to stay silent about what they saw. Copies went to the Office of the Secretary of the Air Force and other offices.

I have had the recent of this Agency checked and find nothing therein reflecting that any TIA employee, at any time, control any claims to an unidentified flying object to remain silent concerning acid witness's observations of cold TIA.
