This is a letter from H. Marshall Chadwell of the Central Intelligence Agency to physicist Samuel A. Goudsmit of Brookhaven National Laboratory, dated 7 April 1953. It answers Goudsmit's March 1953 request for the name and address of a civilian flying saucer group whose pamphlets he had seen in Chadwell's files in January. The reply names the Aerial Phenomena Research Organization, which publishes the APRO Bulletin, and Civilian Saucer Investigations in Los Angeles, and it thanks Goudsmit for his help that January.

Aerial Phenomena Research Organization Coral Lorensen, National Director J. O. Box 358 Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin This organization publishes the APRO Bul This organization publishes the APRO Bulletin containing reports of sightings. 2. Civilian Sancer Investigations A Los Angeles post box (number unknown) is used for their correspondence. Some details are given in Life Magazine, 3 April 1952 issue. A Mr. Ed Sullivan, whose home address is 11067 Carson Drive, Lynwood, California, is active in this group. He was formerly employed by the North American Aviation, Inc., in public relations, reportedly. Additional information on these organizations and others currently is being obtained. We would be pleased to pass any new information along to you when available, if you so desire. Perhaps it would be easier for you to drop by the office when you are next in Washington.
