This Central Intelligence Agency information report, distributed on 2 September 1952 and marked as unevaluated, translates French-language newspaper items from Dakar and Casablanca published 12 to 18 July 1952. It collects eyewitness reports of flying saucers and luminous objects. They include a flame-emitting object over Dakar on 3 July and sightings in Morocco between 12 and 14 July at Had Kourt, Fedala, Ifrane, Chichaoua, Louis Gentil and near Casablanca. A blue ovoid object was also reported rising from the ground in the Daiet Aoua region.

Unusual flying objects were also reported seen at Bouznikaou and Baulhaut between 2100 and 2200 hours on 13 July 1952. LUMINOUS OBJECT SEEN NEAR CASABLANCA -- Casablanca, Maroc-Presse, 15 Jul 52 Forty persons have reported that at 2200 hours on 13 July 1952, they observed a "luminous flying object" in the vicinity of Casablanca. OVIOD OBJECT SEEN TAKING OFF IN DAIET AOUA REGION -- Casablanca, Maroc-Presse, 18 Jul 52 Inhabitants of the Daiet Aoua region, French Morocco, have reported seeing recently a "blue, phosphorescent, ovoid object" on the ground rise rapidly in the air, followed by a bluish trail. The observers estimated the object to be 20 meters long.
