This Central Intelligence Agency memo, dated 9 February 1978, went from the Chief of the Minneapolis Office to the Chief of the Domestic Collection Division. It passes on a caller's report that might relate to the Soviet satellite that fell in Canada on 24 January 1978. The caller said that on 27 January, while crossing a bridge on his way to work, he saw an odd object coming down in the sky. No description was obtained, and the office said it would pass the information to the Air Force.

At 4:30 on 8 February 1978, who works for the reported information that might relate to the Soviet satellite that fell in Canada on Tuesday, 24 January. He said that while going to work a week ago Friday, 27 Jan, he was on the bridge in going over towards and he observed an odd object coming down in the sky. No description was obtained. 2. We said we would pass his information to the Air Force, and if they wanted to contact him for more information we would give the Air Force his name and telephone number. 3.
