This Central Intelligence Agency file, dated 1957, pairs a letter from Leon Davidson to the Director of Central Intelligence with a CIA reply addressed to Davidson in White Plains, New York. The reply, signed by an Assistant to the Director, refers to Davidson's 21 April 1957 letter to Mr. Dulles. It states that a survey of the intelligence community found the item in question was analyzed by another government agency, and that the Air Force would soon write to answer his query about the nature of the recording.
