This Central Intelligence Agency memorandum, prepared for the Director of Central Intelligence and signed by the Assistant Director for Scientific Intelligence, is dated 1955. It summarizes debriefings of four members of an official party who saw objects while travelling by train at night. They reported a greenish-yellow glowing object that rose rapidly while rotating and then levelled into horizontal flight, along with a triangular object with lights. The memo concludes that most observations can probably be explained as climbing aircraft or missiles and that the evidence does not warrant concluding a radically new aircraft is in operation.

EXVIDENCE FOR: Director of control intelligence NORWAY: Sightings of flying vehicles or uncontrolled aircraft 11 four participants in the observation of the flying causera national circuits have not been debriefed and the following summary of their observations. 2. The party was travelling by train to attend the specific request of the trial to use rail transportation whenever it was at all reasonable. The sightings were noted about ten minutes before about 1910 hours when it was already dark. The party was resting alone in his department with the lights out when he noted a still greenish-yellow glowing tall rising quite rapidly. No informed the other members of the party that the occupying the other department and a few minutes later they too observed another object. 3. The observer saw the form of the object only the instantaneous ball, which was clearer only two lights receding eyes. He saw a diurnal object with a single light in the middle at the tip on a receding light or lights similar to constellations at the base. He observed that the impression that the object could have been on earth or a meteor although there were no objects available to produce a collective series and no trail was left by the rising ball. The observer was compelled to transcribe the size of the object to be recognizable to that of a U.S. jet fighter. However, he did not believe that the object did not recovable any aircraft, rocket or satellite that he had ever seen. All observers agree on the impression that the object was rotating or thrilling during its rise along its initial steep trajectory. Neither the observer nor the observer noted any change in this trajectory, but he observed that the object altered its problem to horizontal flight quite simply.
