This Central Intelligence Agency memorandum for record, signed by Philip G. Strong, Acting Deputy Assistant Director for Scientific Intelligence, and dated 23 April 1953, concerns a meeting with the Federal Civil Defense Administration proposed in a letter from Val Peterson. Strong says Ted Babbitt would ask whether the meeting could be held on April 30. Mr. Clark would represent OSI, accompanied by Dr. H. P. Robertson, who had chaired the Panel. The meeting's location would depend on whether Governor Peterson attended in person.

SA-AD/SI AD/SI MEMORANDUM FOR RECORD SUBJECT: FCDA Meeting 1. This morning, I called Ted Babbitt about the meeting proposed in the Val Peterson letter. We agreed that he would explore with Mr. Peterson's office as to whether this meeting could be set for April 30th. I told him that Mr. Clark would represent OSI, and would be accompanied by Dr. H. P. Robertson, who served as Chairman of the Panel. (blitz) 2. I suggested that, if Governor Peterson himself was to be present at the meeting it should be held in his office, but that if he designated somebody it might be more appropriate to have it here in OSI.
