This is a Central Intelligence Agency letter dated 3 March 1961 from Philip G. Strong, Deputy Assistant Director, to Robert J. Palmer, Research Editor of The Americana Institute in New York. It replies to Palmer's 21 February query and says that all governmental responsibility for Unidentified Flying Objects has been assigned to the Air Force. The letter adds that the agency regrets it cannot give specific help. The release holds two copies of the letter with distribution lists.
