This Central Intelligence Agency intelligence information report on the USSR is dated 2 November 1977 and was distributed in December 1977. It relays a source's account of an unidentified phenomenon seen at Site 7 one evening in late summer 1973. The source stepped outside during a televised Canada versus USSR sports competition and saw a bright green circular mass in the eastern sky. Concentric green circles formed around it before the color faded within minutes, with no sound, and the source offered no explanation.
