This undated NICAP file holds a handwritten personal statement about a UFO sighting at Edwards AFB, California, around July or August 1964. The writer was senior officer on alert that night. They say the SAGE center in San Bernardino called at about 0200 about UFO reports and asked for an F-106A to be launched, then declined to authorize it. The writer and three others watched a pulsating light turn 90 degrees and climb until it seemed to go out into space. Edwards approach control reported no radar contact.

Aircraft always show movement in relation to the stars , but as this light moved higher at seemed to become stabilized with the stars . In other words it appeared to move right out into space until it finally passed out of view . As soon as it disappeared , it called radar control , it Ewards approach control and asked if they had seen it or radar - They said they had seen nothing in that area .
