This NICAP compilation of USAF Project Blue Book records covers the 3 September 1965 sighting near Exeter, New Hampshire. It holds signed statements from patrolmen Eugene Bertrand and David Hunt and from Norman Muscarello, the officers' UFO data sheets, and press clippings. It also includes the Air Force evaluation, which cites B-47 activity from Pease AFB during Operation Big Blast. The Air Force judged conventional aircraft a possible cause but listed the case as unidentified for statistical purposes.

of a conventional type with rotating beacons or aircraft utilizing infra-red lights in photographic missions to have been the cause of this sighting. Since we have been unable at this time to identify a specific aircraft as the cause of the sighting, the case is regarded for statistical purposes as unidentified. There was no indication that the object presented any evidence whatsoever, of scientific or technical development beyond the present state-of-the-art. There is a total lack of evidence to indicate that the sighting could not have been caused by conventional aircraft.
