CONCLUSIONS
To date, the firm conclusions of ProjeetBlueBook are: (1} no unidentified flying object reported,
investigated, and evaluated by the Air Force bas ever given any indication of threat to our national
security; (2} there ha8 been no evidence submitted to or discovered by the Air Force that sightings
categorized u unidentified represent teetmo\ogical dnelopme_nts or prtnclples beyond the range o!
present day scientl!ic Jmowledge; and (3) tbere bas been no eVidence indicating that sightt.ngs catecor-
1zed a.!l unidentified are extraterrestrial vebicles.
The Air Force will continue to investl«ate all reports of unusual aerial phenomena over the United
States. Tbe services o1 qual1!1ed scientiSts and technicians w1ll continue to be used to investigate and
analyze these reports, and perioc:Ue reports on tbe subject will be made.
The former Chairman of tbe Bouse Armed Services Committee, Mr. Carl Vinson, recently com-
mented on the conduct ot the UFO procra.m by the Air Force and stated that Concressional bearinp
on this subject are mmece•aary.
The Air Force does not deny the possibWty that aome form of life may exist on other planets in
the universe. However, to date, the Air Foree bas neither received nor discovered any evidence wblcb
proves the eXistence and lntra.. space mobWty of mraterrestriallJfe. The Air Force continues to a-
tend an open invitation to anyone who feels that be possesses any eVidence of extraterrestrial vehicles
