This NICAP compilation gathers Air Force Project Blue Book and related records on a 24 April 1949 sighting three miles north of Arrey, New Mexico, where a balloon crew from White Sands Proving Ground tracked a white ellipsoid object with a theodolite for about 60 seconds. It includes the observer's statement, a Project 10073 record card concluding UNIDENTIFIED, a 17 May 1949 OSI special inquiry report from Kelly AFB, and a completed investigation questionnaire. It also contains extracts from the Project Grudge report, including Dr. Hynek's incident index.

Passed through the sun, was about $ 35^{\circ} $ when due east then disappeared at $ 25^{\circ} $ elevation at about $ 25^{\circ} $ east of north.
