This is a case resolution report from the U.S. Department of Defense's All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), dated February 6, 2025. It covers the January 2015 "Go Fast" infrared video that a Navy F/A-18F recorded off Florida. AARO worked only from the public video and found the object was at about 13,000 feet, not near the ocean surface, and moved at roughly 5 to 92 mph. The report attributes the apparent high speed to motion parallax and states with high confidence that the object showed no anomalous performance.
UNCLASSIFIED 23 UNCLASSIFIED black arrow is the direction of the wind at 3,692 m (the altitude of the UAP), and the colored arrow is the direction of travel of the UAP (not the path or distance traveled of the UAP). The lengths of the arrows correspond to the true (not intrinsic) speed of the UAP (again, not the path of the UAP) and the windspeed. Arrows of the same length would mean the total UAP speed is the same as that of the wind. Arrows in the same direction mean that the UAP is going in the same direction as the wind. The more different the lengths or directions of the arrows, the less effect the wind has on the speed of the UAP.
