This declassified Spanish Air Force file, catalogued as expedientes 791111, 791117 and 791128 (Bis), was released through the Air Operational Command (MOA) intelligence section in November 1996. It collects a 1994 request from CJMOA asking commands to search their archives for UFO records, together with a list of past incidents and MACEN's reply. It also holds controller and aircrew reports on a Phantom scramble from Torrejón over Madrid on 28 November 1979. No visual contact was made, though the crew had brief radar echoes and radar-lock warnings.

En contestación a su mensaje de referencia, comunico a V.E. que en este Mando no existe documentación relativa al Asunto.
No obstante se remiten fotocopias de un "scramble" efectuado en la madrugada del día 28 de noviembre de 1.979 que pudiera tener relación con el caso reseñado en su mensaje bajo el epígrafe EVA-2, el día 27 de noviembre de 1.979 a las 23:00 horas.
Como posible aclaración a la falta de más datos en los EVA,s, hay que tener en cuenta que según el P.O. 30-5 de fecha 12-02-79, firmado por el Coronel Jefe del Ala de Alerta y Control, en su punto 5, "Destrucción", decía que los documentos:
- Libro de Vigilancia y Rutina.
- Libro de Estado de Equipos.
- Libro de Actividades de la Sala S.A.S.
" Podrán destruirse seis meses después de finalizar el año en que se hizo la última anotación".
